Data and messaging (including SMS text messages) plans are required to use the mobile features of the SocialQ Service. Standard data and messaging charges, fees, and taxes from your carrier apply. SocialQ does not store a users’ latitude or longitude information. SocialQ accesses the mobile device’s latitude and longitude data to verify that the user is within an acceptable radius of a SocialQ venue. Once verified, the SocialQ system allows the user to check in to that nearby venue, and will display a list of other nearby SocialQ-installed venues. A users’ latitude and longitude data are not shared through the service, but a user’s votes and song requests are tied to the venue in which the votes and picks were made.
